Temple anyone?

Published by under General

Even though it is the Sabbath, I’m referring to weaving temples.
I have two that start at approximately 24″ and go up from there.

Does anyone have one that ranges from 15—22″?
If so, do you want to sell it?
Contact me if you do!

Seeking a spinner

Published by under General

I have a small amount (about 14 ozs) of raw black Merino lamb fleece from a small breeder in Auckland, New Zealand. This fiber is exquisite. I am hoping to find a handspinner interested in spinning this fleece for me into a light worsted or sportweight yarn. In return, I offer a barter which would be in the form of a one pound cone of white Merino ewe yarn, about 1000ypp (plus a few yards or so of the black lamb handspun, maybe for some bordering if you would like). The white Merino was spun by Still River Mill, Eastford, CT. It was fleece from the same gentleman in NZ. His sheep are extremely well-loved and as he says “they are the ultimate Merino”.

Please let me know if anyone is interested. Thank you!

On July 15, 7-9pm, Gabby Puma Sallo will be a guest speaker at A Loom with a View, Newburyport, MA. Gabby is from Chinchero, a small Peruvian village in the center of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, halfway between Cusco and Machu Picchu. She has been weaving since childhood! Please help us welcome Gabby as she demonstrates on her backstrap loom and provides Peruvian textiles for show and sale. Be sure to mark your calendar so you will not miss this fascinating and educational opportunity.
