I created an account for the Guild at LibraryThing. Take a look at the link.
It’s very easy to add books. I just added 3 from my collection.
We can add author and title as well as tags. I put in the notes field that the books belong to my collection.
I can probably make it do whatever the group wants! And if you don’t want it, that’s fine too.
Let me know what folks think. I can send the password to anyone interested in playing around behind the scenes.

I started washing the wedding alpaca this week. I took some leftover tulle from my wedding veil and whipped up a little washing pocket type thing. This way I can slip in a group of locks all nice and orderly like, pin down the ends and wash away. This is Tuxedo – probably about 2/3 of his total fleece. It’s now drying, and next week I’m going to continue the washing and start carding. My goal is to have all four bags of fleece-y goodness washed and carded by the end of August. September will be spinning time, though I hope to start before then. Realistic goals, right?

First I want to say how wonderfully generous Dave is to have provided NOBO with this site! Thank you Dave!! How tremendous to be able to interact with many weavers on so many levels.
I have a suggestion for some content on the About NOBO page. Kathie K, Patricia M, and I put together a great flyer for NOBO. Could that info be added to this page? I am definitely first a handweaver and last a computer person so if we got the info to you, would you be able to add this? Kathie, do you have this at hand by any chance?

Should we have a list of members on the Membership page? Perhaps first name and first initial of last name? Does anyone have any thoughts?
Also, how does one become an official tee shirt wearing member?
And, speaking of tee shirts, how about a CafePress page to set up for purchase of tee shirts, tote bags, etc, and profit goes into the guild fund for things like book and loom purchases, etc?

Kathie has colorized the NOBO logo to incorporate the color of Newburyport in shades of ocean blue and brick.

Here I am sleepless, but having fun on our new website. Thanks Dave! I hope you get to a meeting one of these days.
My question of the hour is on weaving software: what programs have folks been using and what do you like/ dislike about them.? At the last meeting, Betsy mentioned Pixeloom. I recently took a software class with Judie Eatough which was an overview of what’s out there, but there’s nothing like a personal recommendation (trnslation, I still can’t decide). Thanks for your inputs.
