Our Virtual Library
I created an account for the Guild at LibraryThing. Take a look at the link.
It’s very easy to add books. I just added 3 from my collection.
We can add author and title as well as tags. I put in the notes field that the books belong to my collection.
I can probably make it do whatever the group wants! And if you don’t want it, that’s fine too.
Let me know what folks think. I can send the password to anyone interested in playing around behind the scenes.

Boy Dave, you sure know how to find cool things!
I see that we can list our own personal library but
would this also be a good place to list our Guild library as it grows?
Joan’s our librarian and it would be great for her to have a virtual location to list books and for us to see what’s available. Then we could place our requests to her via email.
I only put my books in as an example so you would have something to look at.
It would be very easy for Joan to enter the library collection and we would see what’s there. Then requests could be made by email. She could even use the comment area to indicate a book is out.
Susan
Kathie, that was SusanB who did all that. I’m impressed, and am thinking about using it for my own library because I have THOUSANDS of books.
It is a great tool! A free account gives us up to 200 books which might just be enough, at least for a while. A paid account for about 25.00 a year gives us unlimited additions. I was thinking that this could be a great tool to post our own books as well and review them!
Well, Susan- i must give credit where credit’s due.
I think I’ll use Library Thing to catalog my books- I have enough of them!
I’ve added the link to the sidebar, under LINKS.
