    14,000 spiders to yield 1 oz of silk and the piece weighs over 2 lbs! This whole article is unbelievable. The textile piece is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for posting this Kathie even though my lifelong fear has been ….. spiders! Can you imagine a fiber person having that fear?

    I’m not a huge fan of spiders myself.
    I do have a new found respect for them after
    seeing that woven treasure.

    I hope that piece will come to Boston or perhaps I ought to go to New York …
